A Little Update

Hello Friends,

It has certainly been a busy few months. Since the launch of my book Love Never Fails, your love and support has been amazing so I want to say thank you.

Summer is coming to an end and as I continue to promote Love Never Fails, I am also working on another novel, one I pray you can connect with in one way or another.

This summer I have been able to do many things such as horseback riding, take a mini vacation, where I spent my days by the ocean or reading a book in a hammock, and visit British Columbia. I spent time with family and friends, and also enjoyed the quiet moments where I could draw closer to God.

If you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, I encourage you to do so. This is how I will communicate with you, I’ll keep you updated on any upcoming events or book details. I also love connecting and praying for people, so if you have a prayer request, send me an email.

On another note, as I was doing my devotionals this verse stood out to me and I wanted to share it with you.

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8

Friends, it doesn’t matter where you’re at, Jesus wants a relationship with you. With so much going on sometimes we need to just sit and reflect, to get on our knees and surrender everything to Christ – confusion, all the struggles, all the things we don’t understand and just say “Lord, I surrender.” Surrendering all can sometimes be a challenge. Sometimes we pick and choose the areas of our life that we allow God to enter in, because maybe some areas are too dark, too dirty to let God in. But we are to go to Him as we are, and allow the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out.

We need to stop “trying” to be Christians and start “training” to become more like Christ. Training involves getting serious about the word of God, praying, fasting, surrendering all to Jesus, the one who makes all things new. Be intentional, set time aside in your day to spend with Jesus. Trust Him. You won’t regret it. He has good plans for you.

Until next time!
Leanna
